HC Deb 04 November 1958 vol 594 c41W
Mr. de Freitas

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware of the nuisance caused to people who live near the Royal Air Force Station, Waddington, Lincolnshire, by the noise of the V-bombers stationed there; and whether he will make a statement on the steps being taken to reduce this noise.

Mr. Ward

Flights are planned to reduce the disturbance so far as this is practicable. We are also very interested in a number of projects for reducing engine noise generally, both in flight and on the ground. I am afraid however that no early solution can be expected to this very difficult problem.
