§ Mr. Knox Cunninghamasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will now consider taking steps to bring to the notice of local authorities in England and Wales, Resolution 140, passed by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 28th October, 1957, which encourages municipalities to further the idea of European unity by taking certain practical steps.
§ Mr. H. BrookeThis Resolution advocates that municipalities should give the name "Europe" to a square, street or public building at a ceremony to be commemorated by a plaque. I am sure that this suggestion will come to the notice of local authorities without it being necessary for me to draw their attention to it.
