HC Deb 21 January 1958 vol 580 c145W
95. Sir F. Medlicott

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many people are on the local authority housing lists throughout England and Wales at the latest convenient date, distinguishing between applicants requiring accommodation suitable for the elderly, and other applicants.

Mr. H. Brooke

This information is not available. Nor do I think it would be useful to collect it specially from the 1468 local housing authorities, since any figures obtained would not be reliable for use as an index of housing need.
