§ 112. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he is taking to encourage local education authorities to enjoy the advantages of joint planning and bulk buying provided by the consortium of local authorities known as Combined Local Authorities School Planning.
§ Mr. MaclayThe advantages of this consortium were explained at meetings I arranged in Edinburgh and Glasgow which were attended by representatives of education authorities. As a result, three authorities have so far decided to participate.
