§ 69. Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations whether he will consider the holding of a Commonwealth Education Conference in 1959.
§ Mr. AlportAs I said in my reply to the hon. Member for Beckenham (Mr. Goodhart) on 13th November, it was agreed by the Commonwealth Ministers at the Trade and Economic Conference in Montreal that a Commonwealth Education Conference should be held in this country next year. We are now making preparations for this and I hope that it will soon be possible to announce the arrangements made.
