§ Mr. MaclayThe General Nursing Council in Scotland do not maintain an index of student nurses which would give precise information of the numbers entering training and failing to complete training. The number of student nurses and pupil assistant nurses in posts in Scottish nurse-training schools at September in each of the years from 1954 to 1957 was as follows:
