HC Deb 02 April 1958 vol 585 c160W
94. Sir A. V. Harvey

asked the Secretary of State for Air how many officers, who have completed fifteen years' service and over, have become redundant since 1st September, 1957; and how many of these will not benefit by a pension and a terminal grant.

Mr. Ward

About 560 officers have left the Service on redundancy since 1st September. Just under 500 of those holding permanent commissions had completed fifteen years' service. All of these will receive retired pay and terminal grant, as well as the special capital payments payable under the redundancy scheme.
