§ 15. Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will have the pavements on each side of Knightsbridge between Hyde Park Corner and Wilton Place made narrower so as to ease the flow of traffic, in conjunction with the Park Lane improvement scheme.
§ Mr. NugentThe widening of Knightsbridge already provided for in the scheme is designed to accommodate the approach to the under-pass and two lanes of traffic in each direction on the surface. Any further increase in the width of the carriageway at the expense of the footpaths would not help.
