Mr. Malcolm MacPherson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) the total number of new students enrolled at the universities and university colleges this session; and what were the corresponding figures in each of the preceding three sessions;

(2) the total number of new students enrolled at the Scottish universities this session; and what were the corresponding figures in each of the preceding three sessions.
