HC Deb 11 November 1957 vol 577 c21W
Mr. Ridsdale

asked the Minister of Labour how many times in the last two years arbitration awards have been rejected by employers, trade unions, officially, trade unions, unofficially, and the Government, respectively.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I have no information of any rejections of awards given through statutory arbitration machinery in the last two years. The National Union of Railwaymen rejected the majority finding of the Railway Staff National Tribunal of 19th March, 1957, but no other instances have come to my notice.
