§ 78. Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what will be the basis of the consultations between the United Kingdom Government and the Singapore and Malayan Governments which will take place before the issuing of further licences for the importation of synthetic rubber.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe Governments of Singapore and the Federation of Malaya were consulted before a decision was taken on the import programme for synthetic rubber for 1957. It is expected that similar consultations will take place in respect of the programme for 1958.
These consultations, however, relate to the size of the year's programme and not to individual import licence applications.
