§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI am informed by the National Assistance Board that during 1956 its offices in Cardiff made 2,518 grants averaging about £3 16s. each to meet exceptional needs, mostly but not entirely for clothing. These offices serve an area which extends beyond the city.
