§ Mr. Iain MacleodMy officers have been in close touch with both sides during the past few days with a view to promoting a comprehensive settlement which would include the matters already settled by arbitration and all other outstanding issues. It has not so far proved possible, however, to find a mutually acceptable basis for joint discussions.
