84. Dr. Bennettasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the total strength, in squadrons and in men, of the Fleet Air Arm; and what proportion of this can be embarked at any one time.
§ Mr. SoamesIt is not in the public interest to disclose the strength or disposition of Fleet Air Arm squadrons. It can be stated however that of the total number of squadrons 50 per cent. either are or readily can be embarked in carriers now in commission. The total number of men in the Fleet Air Arm on 30th September last was 16,763.
