HC Deb 19 February 1957 vol 565 c50W
89. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs who are the members of the United Kingdom Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly; and the qualifications for which each is included.

Mr. Ian Harvey

The names of the United Kingdom Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the United Nations General Assembly were given in the reply to a Question by the right hon. Member for Grimsby (Mr. Younger) on 12th December last. My right hon. and gallant Friend the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs has since then also gone to New York as a Delegate. These Delegates and Alternate Delegates are assisted by advisers and supporting staff from London and by the staff of the United Kingdom Permanent Delegation in New York. My right hon. and learned Friend regards them all as fully qualified for the duties which they are carrying out in New York.
