Mr. G. Roberts

asked the Postmaster-General how many telephone kiosks were installed in the County of Caernarvon during 1955 and 1956, and the locations of those installed in 1956; and how many are to be installed in the county in 1957 and 1958.

Mr. Marples

The figures for 1955 and 1956 are 13 and 7 respectively. Those installed during 1956 are at:

  • Macs Bercer Estate, Caernarvon.
  • Pant Road, Bethesda.
  • Dafarn Newydd, Treborth, Bangor.
  • Near Erw Faen Estate, Bethesda.
  • Hebron Stores, Botwnnog.
  • Penforddelan, Groeslon, Llanwnda.
  • Wern Estate, Port Dinorwic

We hope to provide about 12 kiosks this year and the same number next year.
