§ 8. Mr. Hastingsasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the increase by 49 per cent. of food poisoning incidents in 1955; and whether he will arrange for an inquiry into the causation and prevention of such incidents.
§ Mr. Vaughan-MorganI am aware of this increase, which I regret. The cause and means of prevention are being continuously investigated by medical officers of health, supported by the Public Health Laboratory Service and my own medical staff, and I do not think that a special inquiry is required.
