70. Mr. Watkins

asked the President of the Board of Trade what advice or recommendations he has received from the Welsh Board of Industry during the last two years as to the advisability of light industries being steered into centres in Radnorshire and North Breconshire as a means of curtailing the drift of young people from these areas.

None. But the needs of these areas, which are not generally attractive to industry, are fully understood in the Board of Trade.
