asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received to date protesting against his action concerning the wage claim of the National Health Service clerical employees.

To date I have received, either directly or through hon. Members, 57 letters, mostly from branches of staff organisations, on this subject. My right hon. and learned Friend, the Minister of Health, and I have also received deputations from the Administrative and Clerical Whitley Council and the Staff Side of the General Whitley Council.
