Mr. Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he will give instructions to the Ministers concerned that they should not during the Parliamentary Summer Recess take any action which would have the effect of reducing or cutting the social services or increasing the cost of living, and that any proposals for such action should be announced to the House of Commons on its reassembly after the Summer Recess.
