HC Deb 03 April 1957 vol 568 c52W
62. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is yet in a position to state what representatives of the British Government have interviewed Archbishop Makarios during the last fifteen days: what subjects were discussed; what decisions were arrived at during those discussions; and what decisions affecting peace in Cyprus have been reached by the British Government as a result of those discussions.

Mr. Profumo

The discussions with Archbishop Makarios were undertaken by the Governor of Seychelles, Sir William Addis. The matters discussed and the decisions reached were as mentioned in my right hon. Friend's statements of 20th and 28th March.
