§ 13. Mr. Fletcher-Cookeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many reports he has received in the last 12 months of explosives found in coal already supplied to consumers in the County of Lancashire ; and in how many such cases the coal came from the Wigan area.
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeI have been informed of 43 cases in which explosives were found in coal supplied to consumers in Lancashire during the year ended 30th September, 1956. The source of the coal has not been identified in every case, but in five of the cases it has been traced to collieries in the Wigan area of the North Western Division of the Coal Board.
