§ Miss PittAbout 270 disabled war pensioners are drawing alternative pensions. The annual cost of increasing the maximum alternative disablement pension by £1 7s. 6d. a week would be about £2,500. A consequential increase in the maximum for widows' alternative pensions, numbering about 7,200, would bring the cost to about £150,000 a year.
