asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what reply he has sent to the letter from the London Federation of Brotherhoods and Sisterhoods regretting that the Premium Bonds scheme runs counter to the ideals of thrift, economy and sacrifice in the altruistic service of the community;

(2) what reply he has made to the representations made to him on behalf of the British Council of Churches in regard to Premium Bonds.
