§ Mr. J. Rodgersasked the Minister of Labour what further consideration has been given to the question of ratifying the International Labour Convention concerning holidays with pay in agriculture.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe Government have re-examined this matter. Existing practice in the United Kingdom, based in Great Britain upon the decisions of the agricultural wages boards and in Northern Ireland upon current agricultural wages legislation, fully conforms with the provisions of the Convention. Accordingly, the Government have decided that, in present circumstances, they can ratify the Convention and they propose to do so.
