asked the Postmaster-General how many unsatisfied applications for telephones remain in the Chigwell Urban District of Essex; and how many were outstanding a year ago.

The figures are 1,197 at 31st March, 1955, and 635 at 31st March, 1956, a decrease of 562 during the twelve months' period.
