HC Deb 02 May 1956 vol 552 c43W
77. Mr. Keegan

asked the Postmaster-General if, in view of the national importance of the work carried on at the Dollis Hill research establishment, he will spare no effort to obtain the best possible candidates for any vacancies that may occur.

Mr. Alport

Yes. I share my hon. Friend's opinion of the national importance of the work being carried out at Dollis Hill, and we are paying particular attention to attracting good candidates by such measures as Press advertising and contacts with the universities. There is, of course, a national shortage of men with suitable qualifications, but we shall continue our efforts to ensure that this essential and intensely interesting work is properly manned.
