HC Deb 15 March 1956 vol 550 c60W
86 and 87. Mr. D. Jones

asked the Secretary to the Treasury (1) from what Customs and Excise station the staff are to be drawn to provide On Call Customs at Yeadon Aerodrome;

(2) what are the grounds for providing On Call Customs at Yeadon, having regard to the refusal to consider other civil aerodromes.

Mr. H. Brooke

All applications for Customs facilities at civil aerodromes are considered on their merits. Yeadon will receive these facilities for a trial period on the basis of its past and prospective foreign traffic. Customs and Excise staff will attend from Leeds.
