Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the Lord Mayor of Manchester has issued an invitation to Marshal Bulganin and Mr. Krushchev to visit Manchester during their stay in Britain; and whether he will arrange the Government programme so that such a visit may be included in their itinerary.
§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerYes. The Town Clerk of Manchester was informed on 28th February that it had unfortunately not proved possible to include a visit to Manchester in the programme under preparation for the visit by the Soviet leaders.
