Imperial College development the preservation of the Collcutt building—a building of unquestioned architectural interest, and its tower a well-loved London landmark. With great regret, we came to the conclusion that such a reconciliation was impossible, and that the urgent need to increase this country's output of scientists and technologists must he the decisive factor.
