asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many information officers are employed by his Department; and how many of them have had practical journalistic or advertising experience.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

Nineteen information officers are employed in London and overseas by the Colonial Office. Thirteen of them are engaged in press relations work, all of whom have had practical journalistic experience. The remainder are engaged on other types of information work for which they have the appropriate specialist qualifications.
