HC Deb 02 August 1956 vol 557 cc204-5W
Mr. Langford-Holt

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what action has been taken by Egypt in accordance with the resolution of the Security Council, passed in 1951, which called upon Egypt to terminate the restrictions on the passage of international commercial shipping and goods through the Suez Canal wherever bound.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

Egypt has not terminated the restrictions which the Security Council sought to deal with in its Resolution of 1951.
