HC Deb 02 August 1956 vol 557 c205W
Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will now state what steps are being taken by Her Majesty's Government to discuss with other Governments the question of the limitation and control of nuclear tests separately from the question of a disarmament convention; and with which Governments such discussions are to take place.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

I have nothing to add to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave to a supplementary question by the hon. Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme (Mr. Swingler) on 24th July. While we do not preclude taking the initiative in the matter, it is a complicated question which we must work out carefully for ourselves.
