HC Deb 25 April 1956 vol 551 c149W
65. Mr. F. M. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what major changes have been made in the Government of St. Helena by the St. Helena Order-in-Council of 1956.

Mr. Hare

The main constitutional changes will be the addition of three unofficial members to the Executive Council, which previously contained only officials, and the enlargement of the Advisory Council from a maximum of six to a maximum of ten members.
