HC Deb 19 April 1956 vol 551 c104W
Mr. Russell

asked the Postmaster-General the approximate circulation of the Post Office Magazine; and what efforts have been made to obtain more advertisements in order to offset the cost of printing.

Dr. Hill

During the past six months net sales have averaged 130,369 copies a month. Advertisement revenue has been increased nearly three times in the past four years, by the acceptance of loose insets which neither increase printing costs nor restrict editorial space. I am, however, examining the position again to see whether further improvement is possible.
