§ Mr. HareOn 2nd April the Trusteeship Council adopted a recommendation that Her Majesty's Government, as the administering authority, should indicate such successive intermediate targets and dates in the political, economic, social and educational fields in Tanganyika as would create conditions for the attainment of self-government or independence. Eight delegations voted for the recommendation; five, including the United Kingdom, voted against. One abstained.
