HC Deb 16 April 1956 vol 551 cc51-2W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to make a statement of the various international disputes outstanding between Great Britain and foreign nations relating to the fishing industry, indicating what steps are now being taken to resolve them.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

The only outstanding fisheries dispute with a foreign State is that with Iceland. As the hon. and learned Member knows, an attempt is being made to settle this dispute under the auspices of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation.
