§ 86. Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Fuel and Power his estimate of the economy effected in the use of coal during each of the last three years owing to the adoption of modern grates or stoves; and what consideration has been given to the advisability of offering financial or other inducements for the replacement of wasteful forms of the domestic consumption of coal by more economical devices.
§ Mr. Joynson-HicksNo estimate of the total savings is practicable, but the increasing use of more efficient appliances is certainly helping to make better use of coal. There are already various inducements for the substitution of improved for inefficient appliances.
