HC Deb 02 March 1955 vol 537 c278W
84. Mr. Marlowe

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that the births of children born overseas to the wives of Army and Royal Air Force personnel stationed abroad may be registered at Somerset House; that no such provision exists in the case of children born to the wives of Royal Navy personnel at shore stations overseas, such as Malta; and whether he will introduce legislation with retrospective effect to remove this anomaly.

Commander Noble

Yes. The question of legislation is being considered.
