§ 100. Mr. Ness Edwardsasked the Assistant Postmaster-General what further negotiations have taken place between the British Broadcasting Corporation and the 283W Independent Television Authority about the joint use of transmitting masts; and to what extent Band III transmissions can function on Band I masts.
§ Mr. GammansAs regards the first part of the Question, I cannot add to my reply of 2nd February to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Down, South (Captain Orr).
As regards the second part, it is not possible to give a general answer. The matter largely depends on the capacity of the individual B.B.C. mast to carry a suitable Band III aerial array, with its associated power leads, and on the coverage that could be obtained thereby.
