§ Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Minister of Health whether he will give an assurance that the terms of reference of the Medical Manpower Committee will enable it to take evidence on the need for extra manpower to develop a fully adequate Health Service and meet the needs of our Armed Forces and of colonial and other services abroad, in addition to evidence on the numbers of practitioners likely to be engaged in these services in the future.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe Committee is of course free to take whatever evidence it considers it requires for discharging its terms of reference. I understand that invitations to submit evidence have already been sent to Departments and organisations concerned with the National Health Service, the Armed Forces and medical services overseas.
