§ Mr. NuttingThe objective of the United Nations and of Her Majesty's Government in Korea is the establishment by peaceful means of a united, independent and democratic Korea. An attempt was made at the Geneva Conference last year to achieve this by agreement, but to no avail. Her Majesty's Government have made a contribution of £9,585,715 to the United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency which has done excellent work in contributing to the rehabilitation of the country.
