§ Mr. Lennox-BoydA Bill to consolidate and amend the Labour Ordinance has had a second reading in the Legislative Assembly and is now being considered by a Select Committee. Its purpose is to protect wages and conditions of employment including those of women and young persons. Its provisions cover recruitment, repatriation, contracts, hours, rest days, holidays, health and accommodation.
