§ Mr. Ellis Smithasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works, as representing the Lord President of the Council, to set out in tabular form the percentage of concentration of smoke and sulphur dioxide, as shown by the volumetric method and by any convenient standard of measurement, and the forms of air pollution, including chemical and fluorine, giving the results for each year since 1950, and the pre-war average and post-war average in St. Eval, Wadebridge, Stornoway, Squires Gate, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Salford, Warrington, and Trafford Park, respectively.
