§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe number at present on tuberculosis clinic registers is 22,915, including many in whom the disease is no longer active; 500 patients await admission to hospital; apart from beds temporarily not available there are 170 beds empty owing to lack of staff. I am satisfied that progress in this field is being maintained.
