asked the Minister of Health which regional hospital boards now have contractual arrangements with private nursing homes for either general or maternity beds; and if he will state the average fees paid by the boards for such a bed.

At 31st December, 1953, the latest date for which information is available, the regional hospital boards which had contractual arrangements with profit-making institutions which had remained outside the National Health Service, and the average weekly charge paid for them by each board, were as follows:
