HC Deb 09 February 1955 vol 536 cc212-3W
Mr. Philips Price

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he is aware that there is some dissatisfaction in Newnham-on-Severn, Gloucestershire, at the alteration carried out by his Department in the main street of that town; and whether he will state the reasons for the construction of the concrete apron which has been the main cause of the complaint.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

Yes. I have received representations about the road improvements recently carried out at Newnham-on-Severn. The reason for the construction of the concrete apron was to remove the steep and dangerous camber on the east side of the carriageway.
