HC Deb 02 February 1955 vol 536 c106W
12. Mr. Llewellyn

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he will make a statement concerning the position regarding wireless licences for people who have a relay service.

Mr. Gammans

One of the conditions of the Post Office licence to every broadcast relay company is that service should be given only to people who have wireless licences. Many relay subscribers seem to think, however, that the company itself will take out the necessary licences, and we are considering how this situation can best be met.
