HC Deb 02 February 1955 vol 536 c106W
15. Captain Orr

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will inform the House of the results of the discussions between the Independent Television Authority and the British Broadcasting Corporation on the proposal to share transmitter masts.

Mr. Gammans

This is a matter for negotiation between the B.B.C. and the I.T.A.; my noble Friend understands that they have not yet reached final conclusions and that discussions are still proceeding. It will in any case be necessary for the I.T.A. to start with a temporary station in London, which will be at Croydon.
