asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps are being taken to initiate talks with the new Government of Jamaica on the question of emigration to the United Kingdom.

I have no doubt that the Governor of Jamaica will take an early opportunity of discussing this question with the new Jamaican Ministers.
